After another sea day we arrived at Mount Maunganui/Tauranga on Thursday, February 15th. This was a day we decided not to pick a shore excursion, because nothing looked really interesting. So Ruth spent most of her morning sleeping while I went and climbed Mount Maunganui. It was supposed to be a nice 1/2 hour walk, it is actually almost an hour of real hiking to get to the top. After lunch we went out to Ocean Beach and waded in the water for a little bit before heading back to the ship for the evening.
