Wakely Mountain Fire Tower – DNF
While still camping at Limekiln Lake, I set up a group hike with the Syracuse Area Outdoor Adventure Club for Saturday, to see the Wakely Mountain Fire Tower. I once again, because I had to work that night, had a time limit. And the weather wasn’t any better than it was last year when I went. Only three other people wanted to go, fine with me, I like smaller groups.
Not much to say, I had to turn around before making the summit, because of time, but the three others did make it, so that’s good for them. And my GPS batteries died not even a half mile into the hike, so I don’t know officially how far I made it. One of these day’s I’ll get up there when it’s sunny out.
