Port Chalmers / Dunedin
After Fiordland, we arrived at Port Chalmers on Monday February 12th. We spent the morning strolling the deserted streets of Port Chalmers looking for the local grocery store, and wondering why when there is a ship in port, that it seemed only 5 stores out of the 20 or so were open. That afternoon we did a bus tour of Dunedin which included a stop at the Dunedin Train Station and went on the Cadbury Factory Tour (no picture taking was allowed). Cadbury products are made by Hershey in the States we were told. We did find out that wood is the #1 export of New Zealand.
