Hike & Bike at Moose River Plains

Work was slow so I went up to the Moose River Plains on Tuesday to see if I could find the campsite we went to almost every summer. Since the state shut the gates due to lack of funding, I had to walk and bike my way back in, roughly 10 miles each way. Walk uphills and some flats, ride my bike downhill. Overall, about a 5 hour trip. But I did find the site, #87. Doesn’t seem as large as I remember and there has been some erosion on the banks, but it’s still there. I did not see any wildlife surprisingly, just tracks in the road.
